Being a Tall Cedar isn’t just about fun, frolic, and fellowship, it’s also about committing ourselves to service and philanthropy, which is why you may see us at a community cleanup, blood drive, or marching in a parade to raise awareness and funds for our official philanthropy, the Tall Cedar Foundation.

Check our calendar for upcoming service opportunities.

The Tall Cedar Foundation™ was created in 1951 to further the cause of research for a cure for muscular dystrophy.

Our foundation was the first charitable organization to support a national association associated with research in this field and were integral in organizing their annual Telethon and providing support during the telethon. The Tall Cedar Foundation™ has raised over $19,000,000 towards finding a cure. Because of this involvement with the telethon, the Tall Cedars is the smallest and least known of the appendant Masonic bodies but it is also the most visible at times.

In 2022, the Tall Cedar Foundation launched a new initiative aimed at helping children in our communities that have been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy by creating the Muscular Dystrophy Relief Fund™ (M.D.R.F. ™). This fund allows the foundation to provide relief to children to promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being by providing grants of up to $5,000 to cover medical, therapeutic, adaptive equipment, and other muscular dystrophy related costs, as well as research for a cure for muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases.
