Brethren,
I would like to extend you a warm invitation to discover the legend of the hewers of trees in the forests of Lebanon and their vital role in the building of King Solomon’s Temple. Join us for a delightful evening of fun, camaraderie, and fellowship as you become a Tall Cedar at our Winter Ceremonial on February 6 at the Ezekiel Bates Lodge in Attleboro. Tall Cedars is dedicated to creating enjoyable opportunities for fellowship and hospitality through a variety of engaging events, outings, and presentations aimed at entertaining and enlightening our members, their significant others, and their families.
Beyond our distinctive pyramid headgear and vibrant pageantry, our organization’s history is exceptionally unique, with roots that predate many Masonic appendant bodies. We trace our origins back to the early 1840s, a time marked by anti-Masonic sentiment, when a degree known as the Ancient Rite of Humility emerged for the enjoyment of Masons. This degree gained popularity in the mid-Atlantic region and is now recognized as the Sidonian Degree, serving as our second degree.
In addition to our spirited activities, we are committed to a noble cause: supporting children affected by muscular dystrophy. Since 1951, we have partnered with national organizations to further research for a cure and to launch their national television fundraiser. Today, the Tall Cedar Foundation has expanded its mission to provide relief for children impacted by muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases, thereby promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being through grants for medical needs, therapy, adaptive equipment, and more.
I warmly invite you to join us on February 6th to learn more about our organization while enjoying an evening filled with fun and hospitality and starting your journey as a Tall Cedar.
Please Download a Petition from our website, and submit it through the form on the page by February 3rd. The initiation fee is $50, and we meet on the first Thursday of each month (excluding July and August) at Ezekiel Bates Lodge (71 N. Main St. Attleboro, MA), alternating between in-person and virtual gatherings so that all members can participate, and lastly, Annual dues are $45.
